FUSHITSUSHA “origins hesitation” CD PSF
Ok I’ll admit I totally hated this disc, Fushitsusha stripped down to a duo with Haino, and now passed long time bassist Ozawa. 2001 studio works that finds the band playing through percussion loops and lots of experimenting with other sounds. Not the guitar driven blackness that I think of with Fushitsusha. Maybe my expectations for “Fushitsusha” drove me away from this release?? If titled something else I might have enjoyed it more for what it was instead of what it wasn’t.
I asked Plotkin about this release when he was down recently and he said he liked so what the hell do i know??

KOUSOKUYA “shinjuku jam 2006” DVD PSF
2 of the last live sets of ultra obscure Tokyo psychedelic rock trio preformed in Shinjuku prior to leader Jutok Kaneko untimely passing. Single camera live concert footage with good sound and no effects give a glimpse of Kousokuya in what most likely was their classic line-up of Mick on bass and Ikura on drums.

Most current release from the sorcerer of darkness Haino San. Returning this time for an updated look at a 13 year career on the Hurdy Gurdy. Long playing 66min multi track CD of nails on the chalk board drones. A bit denser then some of Haino’s other efforts to date on the ancient medieval instrument. MUSICA TRANSONIC “same” CD PSF 61
Mythically powerful free form imrpov trio formed by super heavy weights Makota Kawabata (guitar prior to Acid Mother temple international stardom), Nanjo Asahito (bass highrise) and Yoshida Tatsuya (drums Ruins). At times a freak out red lined garage rock attack, and at other times a probing gentler improv type of interplay, all makes sense I suppose with the meeting of the players on this disc recorded in 95.
